Trey Knowles: RISALA 19 - MEXICO AND SOUTH AMERICA (LISTEN)
“Poner buena cara al mal tiempo” — to bad weather, a good face.
You have been oppressed, yet our Lord sees everything.
The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and needy, and they have taken advantage of Spanish and Indigenous people without justice. For I, Trey Knowles, tell you: trouble is coming for those who create unjust laws, and for the officials who continue to enforce oppression—those who block the poor from receiving justice, who steal the rights of the vulnerable, who treat widows as easy targets, and who exploit children who have no one to defend them.
But you, mi gente, do not follow paths of violence, dishonesty, or mischief. Those ways do not belong to you, but to the Diablo—the world colonizer—who came with guns. Do not take up his ways. I want you to know that you are from God also. Abstain from every form of evil. Do not be like the world that lies in the power of the evil one.
Turn away from idols and from statues. Turn your children away from gangs. Protect your daughters from abuse and sexual immorality. I say this: you must no longer walk as those who colonized and abused your brothers and sisters. Their thinking has become futile, and their hearts hardened. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance within them. They have become callous and given themselves over to sensuality, practicing every kind of impurity.
But that is not the way you learned Yeshua—assuming you have heard about Him and were taught in Him, as the truth is in Yeshua. Do not be like those who follow destructive ways. Rebuke such paths, because they bring destruction to homes and to children.
Repent, therefore, to our Lord and turn back, so that your sins may be blotted out.
My people, I speak to you with love.
Seek God while He is still available to you; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked abandon their corrupt ways and the unjust leave behind their perverse thoughts.
Let them return to the Lord, for He is willing to show compassion. Let them return to our God, because He forgives freely and fully.
The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright, but destruction for evildoers.
Oh, you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of His saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
I see what your enemies do: those who call you an immigrant, but who themselves are immigrants who keep the innocent captive.
In their arrogance, the wicked persecute the poor; but let them fall into the very traps they set for others. The wicked boast of their selfish desires, and the greedy curse God and turn their backs on Him. Blinded by pride, they never seek God; their thoughts are, essentially: “There is no God.”
Everything they do seems to prosper, and your justice seems very far from them, out of their reach. They mock anyone who opposes them. Within themselves they say: “Nothing will shake me. I will never face trouble—neither now nor ever.”
Their feet run to evil and hurry to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their paths. They do not know the way of peace, and there is no justice in their ways; they have made their paths crooked; no one who walks in them knows peace.
Tell your children not to join their armies or their law enforcement; if sinners entice them, do not consent. If they say: “This is the land of the free and the home of the brave; let us lie in wait to shed blood; let us ambush the innocent without cause.”
They conspire against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the Lord has become our stronghold, and our God, the rock of our refuge. He will bring their iniquity upon them and destroy them for their wickedness; the Lord, our God, will destroy them.
Gracia y paz.
Atentamente,
Trey Knowles
